UF surgeon receives award from the American College of Surgeons

Dr. Lawrence Lottenberg, a key figure in the growth of Florida’s trauma system over the past three decades, received the Raymond H. Alexander Award from the Florida chapter of the American College of Surgeons in late May. Lottenberg, an associate professor of surgery and anesthesiology at UF Health, founded the Level 1 trauma center at UF Health Shands Hospital and has made numerous other significant contributions to surgery in the state of Florida.
