New coats for PA class of 2017

Students from the UF School of Physician Assistant Studies receive white coats in ceremony June 3

June 7, 2016 – Cheers erupted from the audience as the 59 students from the UF School of Physician Assistant Studies class of 2017 crossed the stage June 3 to receive their white coats and mark the transition from didactic to clinical learning.

A crowd of about 400 faculty, family members and friends gathered for the ceremony, which took place in the Health Professions, Nursing, Pharmacy Complex auditorium, followed by a reception in the George T. Harrell, M.D., Medical Education Building. The event began with remarks from School of PA Studies professors and concluded with students reciting the Oath of Practice for Physician Assistants.
