Incoming freshmen at the UF College of Engineering have a tough crowd to impress.
On Friday, Aug. 3, pediatric patients at Shands Hospital for Children at the University of Florida will pick the top toy robot designed by incoming engineering students at UF.
The students have been working on building the ideal Lego robots during a summer design course competition and are ready to showcase their creations to the young judges, who shared their ideas on the best toy robot earlier this summer.
The judging event will begin at 2 p.m. in the Shands at UF Atrium.
The winning team will receive hand-made certificates from the young patients as well as UF prizes and acknowledgement by National Instruments, the makers of the software used to build the robots.
