Fishermen and women from across North Central Florida will cast a line for kids on Saturday, April 27 to benefit Children’s Miracle Network at Shands Hospital for Children at the University of Florida as novice and experienced anglers alike compete in an all-day fishing tournament.

The ninth annual saltwater trout tournament, Fishing for Kids, is spearheaded by the UF&Shands engineering department and has raised more than $70,000 since 2005. This family-friendly event will take place at Sea Hag Marina in Steinhatchee, Fla.
