Members of the UF College of Medicine class of 2014 will hold the Race for Ray 5K, a Feb. 3 fundraiser to support injured classmate Ray Brown and his family.
During the summer of 2012, Brown was involved in a severe car accident that resulted in his suffering a traumatic brain injury, just prior to the start of his third year of medical school. Since the accident, Ray has been receiving physical, occupational and speech therapy and, as a veteran, he’s currently receiving care at a VA facility in Tampa near his family’s home.
For more information visit raceforray.com. Gifts may be made online or mailed to Pray for Ray, P.O. Box 662, St. Augustine, FL 32085-0662. Donations may be made through February 28, 2013. Any thoughts and encouragements can also be sent to Ray and his family via their website at www.pray4ray.wordpress.com.
