Fruits and veggies for the HSC

HSC faculty, staff and students can pick up fruits and veggies in front of the HPNP Building.

It’s getting even easier for UF faculty, staff and students to add a little green to their diet, thanks to a new Gator Community Supported Agriculture drop-off point.

Participants registered in the farmer-to-shopper program can pick up their fruits and vegetables outside the Health Professions/Nursing/Pharmacy Complex breezeway off Center Drive.

The program, started in fall 2009 by the Office of Sustainability, helps connect vegetable and fruit shoppers directly with farmers. Customers sign up to get crops from one of the four participating farms. Growers deliver their wares, which vary in type based on the season, to customers weekly at designated drop-off points.
