RecSports services available for UF Health staff

UF Health staff: Do you know what free opportunities UF RecSports offers you? There are dozens of services available to UF staff and affiliates with a Gator 1 Card or UF Health badge.

  • You and up to four guests can visit Lake Wauburg, which features an 18-hole disc golf course, a rock-climbing wall, a swimming area, canoes and kayaks, a mountain bike trail and mountain bike check-out and more.
  • You have access to four pools on UF’s campus. You and up to four guests can visit Broward Pool and Graham Pool, and you can also register one guest online to accompany you to the Florida Pool and the O’Connell Center Pool.
  • You can use the O’Connell Center Weight Room — no membership is required. You can also take advantage of the Broward Outdoor Recreational Complex and the open recreation tennis courts, basketball courts and fields across campus.
  • You can play intramural sports for free at UF, too. While a membership is required to access events and leagues in Southwest Recreation Center, there are dozens of activities that occur outdoors on campus throughout the year. To register, a RecSports staff member needs to add you to the system. To be added, contact Karley Counts at karleyc@recsports.ufl.edu.

Aside from these free opportunities, UF Health employees are also eligible for paid membership at RecSports, which includes access to Southwest Recreation Center, the Student Recreation & Fitness Center and 165 Group Fitness classes every week.
