Center stage: COM prepares for annual talent show

For one evening, College of Medicine students, faculty and staff will step into the spotlight for The 2011 Talent Show. The annual talent show is a fundraiser for next year’s international health outreach trips, which serve student-organized trips to Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mexico and Thailand.

The show, organized by the leaders of next year’s medical mission trips, will take place Saturday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. at the P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School’s auditorium as part of Family Day activities.

During intermission, attendees will have the opportunity to shop for items collected by students during their travels as well as bid on silent auction items including but not limited to:

-an evening at the Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club

-a week-long and a 4-day long getaway to a North Carolina mountain home

-4 single-day passes to Wet n Wild theme park

-2 year-long passes to Wet n Wild theme park

-A 4-day stay at a condo in St. Augustine with a beautiful beach view

Tickets to the talent show are free with a suggested donation of $7 and available now at the Starbucks by the MSB auditorium, in front of the Health Science Center Library or at the door the night of the show.
