College of Fine Arts to host world premiere of opera on campus

The UF Opera Theatre program and UF Symphony Orchestra will join forces with composer and UF Distinguished Alumna Stella Sung for the world premiere of a new opera, The Red Silk Thread: An Epic Tale of Marco Polo, on Thursday, April 17 and Saturday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Phillips Center.

Student tickets are only $10. Students can earn a free appetizer for two by showing their ticket at Francesca’s Trattoria, Napolatano’s or Romano’s Macaroni Grill on  nights of the performance.

UF employees can also earn a 50 percent off discount on ticket purchases.
