About Christine Velasquez

Christine D. Velasquez is a writer for University of Florida’s College of Medicine. Before joining UF in 2008, Christine was the communications director at the Ocala/Marion County Chamber of Commerce. Prior to her work with the chamber, Christine assisted a national cancer institute with their development and public relations practices. Christine earned a bachelor’s degree in communications at the University of Maryland, and a certificate in European studies at University of Maryland, Mannheim, Germany. Christine is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Florida Public Relations Association and the National Association of Professional Women.
